Open Top Storage Container

Make a great storage container organizer that requires only two materials which you probably have already. Recycle any empty box you no longer need in this Do It Yourself step by step. I used a cereal box in the example below but have also used tissue boxes and shipping boxes. With four simple steps, you’ll be able to make any size container you want in no time. Ruler

Sharpie

Scissors

Materials:

Empty Box

Instructions:

Step 1:

Determine the height of the container you want, making sure it will fit where you want it. Measure up the side of the box and mark with a line using the ruler.

Step 2:

Cut around the box on the line with some scissors.

Step 3:

Tape up the bottom of the box to give it some durability as well as the edges to smooth it out.

Step 4:

Place where you want and fill with your items.

Use these four steps to create any size box you need to help organize your closet, drawers, or pantry. These really helped me organize my bathroom and work area making me more efficient throughout the day. My favorite things about this storage container are how I can make any size I need, how cheap they are, and how quickly and easily you can make them.
